git clone (repository ನಿಮ್ಮ computer ಗೆ copy ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು)

YouTube ನಲ್ಲಿ “Git and GitHub tutorial in Kannada” ಎಂದು search ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು free videos ಸಿಗುತ್ತವೆ. 2 ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದನ್ನು learn ಮಾಡಬಹುದು.

Skill 2: One Programming Language

ನೀವು Python, JavaScript, Java, ಅಥವಾ C++ – ಯಾವುದಾದರೂ ಒಂದು language ನಲ್ಲಿ comfortable ಆಗಿರಬೇಕು. Beginners ಗೆ Python best option. ನಿಮಗೆ language ನ syntax (if-else, loops, functions, classes) basic knowledge ಇದ್ದರೆ ಸಾಕು.

Skill 3: Command Line Basics

Linux or Mac terminal – ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ basic commands ಗೊತ್ತಿರಬೇಕು. ls, cd, mkdir, rm, grep, chmod – ಇಷ್ಟೊಂದಿದ್ದರೆ ಸಾಕು. Windows ಆದರೆ WSL (Windows Subsystem for Linux) install ಮಾಡಿ.

Step 1: Understand Open Source Philosophy

Open source ಎಂದರೆ free software ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಇದು community of developers. ನೀವು contribute ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ, ನಿಮ್ಮ code ಅನ್ನು world full of developers review ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ನೀವು mistakes ಮಾಡಬಹುದು, ಅದು normal. Mentors help ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.
